DDR M1956-76 with net. These nets where also used by the Bundeswehr on Stahlhelm M1A1 in the former DDR after the reunification.

This is a variant of the same type of net, but with drawstring.

"Flecktarn" or "Blumentarn" cover for the M1956. The cover is actually the hood of the army parka which was made to double as helmet cover.

"Strichtarn" ("Ein Strich, kein Strich") pattern camouflage cover. This is also a parka hood. There is a face veil on the inside of the cover to fold down to cover the face.

The grey cover of the Kampfgruppen of the SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands, the East German communist party), here shown with the face veil unfold. The design is identical to the two covers above.

DDR M1956-76 with Military Traffic Police ("Regulierer") cover. A quite striking design.
